Funeral Director Charges
As a member of The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) we are required to provide you with an itemised breakdown of our charges in order to comply with our Code of Practice as previously drawn up in conjunction with the Office of Fair Trading.
Whilst arranging the funeral, we will advise on the funeral directors charges and disbursement fees to be incurred, culminating in a written estimate.
When you feel confident with the funeral commitment you have arranged, we will ask you to sign the estimate of charges form to confirm these details.
For example, the cost of a funeral is made up of the following:
Our inclusive funeral service charge includes
Provision of 24-hour assistance and support service
All arrangements in connection with the funeral
Assistance and advice in matters relating to the funeral
Attendance and services of staff
Attending to all documentation
Liaison with all necessary third parties
Care of the deceased and use of the chapel of rest
Embalming of the deceased (when required)
Provision of motor hearse, funeral director and attendants
Additional Service Charges
Bringing the deceased into our care (within 15 mile radius)
Additional mileage charge for removal vehicle only - return journey: per mile
Coffin or Casket
Gown
Provision of limousine (up to 3 limousines)
Provision of limousine (in excess of 3 limousines)
Additional mileage charge for each funeral vehicle - return journey: per mile
Provision of a Horse Drawn (Two Horses)
Reception into Church or Home (during normal office hours)
Reception into Church or Home (outside normal office hours)
Surcharge for Saturday / Sunday funeral
Chapel of Rest for outside normal working hours: per occasion up to 1 hour
International repatriation embalming: (With relevant Certification)
Release pair of white doves
